Janki + Herman // From Ranglo to Balle Balle
After many date changes due to the ongoing pandemic, Herman and Janki's wedding weekend finally arrived over Memorial Day weekend 2022. As their wedding planner, I was thrilled to see their vision come to life for two beautiful cultural ceremonies and celebrations.

The weekend kicked off with Herman's baraat, a lively processional where he arrived riding gallantly on a horse, ready to wed his bride. The baraat was filled with music and dancing as Herman's family and friends escorted him to the first ceremony, the Sikh Anand Karaj.
The ceremony was stunningly decorated in floral arrangements of pink, red and white flowers. Under the guidance of the priest, Herman and Janki circled around the Guru Granth Sahib, symbolizing the start of their journey through life together as partners.
Following the Sikh ceremony, guests stayed in the ballroom for a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. The aisle way was gorgeously decorated with fresh flowers and fabrics. Herman and Janki wore beautiful Indian wedding attire in complementary colors. They performed rituals that signified their vows and prayers for a happy life as husband and wife.s
Cocktail hour and the reception gave guests a chance to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. enjoyed signature cocktails and a mix of Indian and American fare. The reception space was awash in dreamy cream and blush tones with floral touches throughout. After dinner and speeches, Herman and Janki shared their first dance as a married couple, embracing both Indian and Western wedding traditions.
It was an incredible weekend and an honor to help bring their cross-cultural wedding vision to fruition. Here's to a lifetime of happiness for the happy couple!
