A Colorful Fusion Wedding: Pia and Jehu's Two-Day Extravaganza

At Mint To Be Events, we thrive on creating magical, one-of-a-kind weddings that celebrate the unique love stories of our couples. When Pia and Jehu approached us to plan their special day, we were immediately captivated by the rich cultural tapestry of their backgrounds. With Pia's Bengali roots and Jehu's Cape Verdean and African heritage, we knew this would be a wedding to remember.

Day 1: The Sangeet at The Westin Copley Hotel

The festivities kicked off with a vibrant Sangeet at the elegant Westin Copley Hotel. This pre-wedding celebration brought together the couple's closest friends and family for an evening of song, dance, and merriment.

The décor reflected the colorful fusion of their cultures, with lush floral arrangements in bold hues, intricate

patterns, and traditional elements from both Bengali and Cape Verdean traditions. The lively atmosphere was infectious, with guests mingling effortlessly and enjoying the sumptuous spread of delectable cuisine.

Day 2: The Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Newbury Hotel

The second day of Pia and Jehu's wedding extravaganza began with a vibrant baraat on the picturesque Commonwealth Avenue. The groom, accompanied by his family and friends, made his way to the Newbury Hotel to the beat of lively music, dancing, and joyful laughter.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful blend of Bengali and African-american customs including that of jumping the broom. The ceremony was conducted by the brother of the bride. Pia was stunning in her traditional Bengali attire, while Jehu looked dashing The couple exchanged vows beneath a breathtaking floral mandap, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a sophisticated cocktail hour at the Newbury Hotel, where they sipped on signature drinks and enjoyed gourmet hors d'oeuvres. As the sun began to set, the celebration moved into the grand ballroom for the reception.

The reception décor was a seamless continuation of the fusion theme. The tables were adorned with lush floral centerpieces and gold accents, creating an atmosphere of warmth and romance.

The evening's entertainment was nothing short of spectacular, with DJ Yogz and DJ Dee from Boston Sound and Light Company keeping the dance floor packed all night long. Their electrifying mixes had guests of all ages showing off their best moves. The 360 photo booth was a huge hit, with attendees capturing fun, interactive memories to cherish for years to come.

Throughout the two-day affair, New England Wedding Film captured every magical moment. Their stunning photos and videos truly bring Pia and Jehu's love story to life, allowing them to relive their special day whenever they wish. And a big thank you for capturing our team in the action.

It was an absolute honor for Mint To Be Events to be a part of Pia and Jehu's wedding journey. Their love story is a testament to the beauty of blending cultures and traditions, and we know their life together will be as vibrant and joyful as their unforgettable wedding weekend.
