#RoheenGotHisQueen - The wedding of Neha & Roheen

I can still remember the day that I first spoke with Neha. She was in Germany for work getting in and out of cabs trying to talk through the wedding planning details. She was excited, but worried and stressed about planning her wedding which was just 6 months away. No venues booked, no vendors booked, and uncertain on where to start. The Mint to be Team quickly changed that and helped plan Neha and Roheen’s dream wedding.

Both Neha and Roheen knew what they wanted from the beginning. A colorful sangeet in the middle of Boston....what better venue is there than The Taj rooftop on the 17th floor? Amazing views of Boston, a trendy ambiance with soft up lighting, colorful lanterns and flowers is pretty much all that was needed to add a little spice to the venues’ natural décor. (Thanks Alankar for the lanterns!!).

The evening was full of mehndi by Shilpa’s Mehndi and dance performances by their closest family and friends. Music by our very own Boston Sound and Light and a tasteful cuisine by the Taj with indian and western options for the guests.

There was even a special SURPRISE dance performance by the bride and groom. Aren't they so cute!!

Neha and Roheen’s wedding day was simply breathtaking. The Fairmont Copley Hotel, located in the heart of Boston has its own character and luxurious feel. Neha looked beautiful all weekend thanks to Stacey Keuhn Hair Stylist and Beauty by Nelse Karini. We also had the amazing Tavi da la Rosa to help with some of the family members. After searching and searching for the perfect hair and makeup stylists, we are thankful to have worked with both of them. Neha looked flawless all weekend long.

The wedding day started off with a baraat like no ever in the middle of Copley square. We tried and tried and tried to get an elephant approved by the city of Boston but it was just not possible. So instead of one horse, we got two horses. There was a horse and carriage for the groom’s parents/grandmother and a horse for the groom. They danced away at the baarat along with Dholi Ravi and everyone in Copley square couldn’t resist to watch. The groom was greeted by the bride’s parents followed by a traditional Hindu ceremony.

From the beginning, Roheen had made it clear that he wanted simple, neutral colors for the ceremony. (Basically no color, right Neha?) With the help of Alankar and Petals Inc, we were able to create a mandap design that was traditional, modern, and elegant in the Oval room.

After the ceremony is when the party begins! The cocktail hour had delicious Indian and western appetizers from Masala Art along with a live string quartet, Innocenti. Guests were energized and hydrated to start the party at the reception.

The reception took place in the grand ballroom. You can’t more grand than this ballroom. Ivories, blushes, and gold’s illuminated the space and gave a soft and romantic feel as guests entered. The florals and votives by Petal Inc, pin spot lights and rose color lighting (by BSL), and a uniquely designed cake by Cakes to Remember, made the room look gorgeous.

The night continued on with endless dancing….thanks to the tunes of Boston Sound and Light. Thanks to David Tucker Photography, for all the amazing photographs. Can’t wait to see the videography from ByDesign.

Congrats Neha and Roheen!! It was a pleasure for us to get to know you as well as your families. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
