J&B - The State Room Wedding!

One of the most beautiful things about being a Boston event planning company is we have the luxury of enjoying all the beauties of this city that shares a small and big city vibe in it’s very own way. We were lucky to celebrate the union of Jignasha and Ben at the very prestigious State Room, A Longwood Venue in Boston that overlooks the Boston skyline and water.

Jignasha and Ben meet during their undergraduate days at Clark University and from there the love bloomed. Both were from Massachusetts. Jignasha, a city girl, met a small town boy from Western Massachusetts and who would have thought their journey would have started in Worchester!

Ben was very open to all the traditional and cultural aspects of an Indian Family. It’s a running joke that we think Ben and his family held down the fort and showed Jignasha and her family how it’s done! HA!

When you have the skyline of Boston as your background view, there is not a lot you need to do to make your décor spectacular! Staying true to their personality, Jignasha and Ben wanted simple décor and wanted everyone to truly enjoy the place they call home. Less is always more! Dogwood Floral put together an amazing Mandap staying true to the couple and their needs. Shoba at Alankar Decor added the perfect Indian touch by adding traditional accent pieces to the mandap. We brought two worlds together in a sophicasted way and we love being able to do that for our clients.

Jignasha, who is in love with her cat had a cake topper that included her cat…and oh of course her husband! ;) Talk about small personalizations that go a long way.

After the ceremony, the couple changed from their traditional Indian outfits into more Western wear that was comfortable enough for them to break it down all night long! I mean…you have to enjoy your own wedding more than your guests obviously!

They catered a variety of food to appeal to everyone in their crowd. Boston Sound and Light pumped up the State Room and kept the crowd dancing all night long. We secretly think even the buildings next door were dancing along with us ;) Thank you Thuy Pham Photography for capturing all these pictures!
