A-Squared - The Ami and Andy Story

Our adventure with Ami Patel and Andrew Badke was one memorable wedding weekend. Planning a wedding with the bride and groom living hundreds of miles away can make planning a challenge, but our team was able to understand their personality, their style, and their vision instantly.

Day 1 started off with their mehndi event…full of color, food (Ambrosia Tavern), traditional garba dancing (music from Boston Sound and Light), and of course amazing mehndi artists (from Henna Café). Guests arrived from all over the country, including out of the country relatives. With three days of events, one would think to start slow and save the best for last, but we started the wedding festivities with a bang.

Special thanks to Dipesh Patel for his amazing photography skills!

Day 2 brought us to the wedding town of Newport, RI for Ami and Andrew’s Sangeet. The views from Oceancliff were just amazing! The soft color linens with a bit of sparkle with complimenting centerpieces (Studio 539) gave just enough beauty to the evening without taking away from the ocean views. The gorgeous sunset backdrop almost looked like it picked up the colors from Ami & Andrew’s Sangeet decor!

Day 3 the big wedding day at Belle Mer on Goat Island consisted of the Hindu wedding ceremony, Christian ceremony, and Wedding Reception.

When you are on the water, what better way to kick off the Hindu ceremony….Forget a sports car or a horse for the Baarat, why not come on a boat? Andrew’s grand entrance was on a boat escorted by Boston Sound and Light’s SUV baarat and Dholi Ravi.

The ceremony proceeded with pretty blooms and mandap décor with traditional ceremony and music (Alankar and Studio 539).

The Christian Wedding Ceremony, also outdoors, combined both religions and cultures.

The cocktail hour consisted of fusion appetizers, an elephant escort card table, and a unique guest signage idea.

The reception vibe created an unforgettable ambiance. The bride, groom, family and friends danced the night away.

Special Thanks to Nicole Chan Photography for capturing these incredible shots!

Congrats Ami & Andrew!
