Sonia and Sagar, both of whom are "Patel" and whose families are from the Indian state of Gujrat got married in early May of 2018 at the Radisson Nashua, NH. In traditional Gujrati traditions, their wedding weekend with Mint To Be Events started off with the Garba, which is a variety of folk dances featuring intricate steps and sticks.
Sonia and Sagar's garba was actually held at the Chelmsford Radisson.
DJ Yogz, DJ D-Xtreme and Dholi Ravi from Boston Sound and Light Company got interactive singing and playing a live drum set along side traditional garba.
The wedding day started with a baraat where the groom rode in a chariot from Sally's Bridal Carraige.
The bride also joined in on the baraat fun during the Pokhvanu (Milni) and came out to greet her soon to be husband.
The ceremonies then continued in the main ballroom where the Indian traditions took place. Check out the amazing mandap from Prasang Decors.
The wedding ceremony included four rounds, Pheras around the havan (fire). These rounds around the fire signify their commitment together for their lifetime ahead. All of India with the exception of the state of Gujrati make 7 rounds around the havan. Gujrati ceremonies feature 4 rounds.
After the wedding, the couple snuck out with our amazing photographer and cinematographer, Muskaan Photo and Video and posed for the camera.
Later in the evening, guests returned for the cocktail hour which featured Boston Sound and Light Company's MIrror Photobooth and delicious bites from India Palace.
Meanwhile Sonia and Sagar went inside the ballroom to make sure their vision for the reception has come to fruition.
The reception featured Boston Sound and Light Company's White Star-lit dance floor.
Once doors opens, formalities pursued with speeches, slow dances, cake cutting and guests danced the night away.
